What’s is it?

We are a community that brings together a driver looking for a place to park with a driveway owner who has a parking spot to provide. We want it seamless, cashless, and hassle free. No stress, just search, book, and park.

Do I need an account to book a parking space or rent one out?

Yes, but it’s all free

By registering, you’re agreeing to follow the simple rules and principles outlined in our Terms and Conditions.

To sign up to the community, click to setup new user. And to make this even easier you can use your Facebook or Google+ profile.

Managing my account

You can manage your contact, billing, profile pictures, dryveways, bookings all on your account.

Dryveway Owners

How do I list my Dryveway(s)?

Every page of the site there is a “Rent My Dryveway” button. Click on the button and follow the step by step instructions.

How do I list Dryveways at more than one location?

Once you’ve registered you can add as many Dryveways at different locations as you like. Login to your account, click on My Dryveways and look for ‘add new Dryveway”. From there you simply run through the speedy listing process for a new location and you’re done.

How do I delete a Dryveway?

If you just want to take a parking spot off the market for a while, it’s easier to deactivate it (an option in your Account on your dryveways page) and then activate it again when you’re ready. If you absolutely don’t want to rent out the space any more (or you don’t have it), then delete the space. If the space has any future sessions booked you should honor them as there are cancellation penalties if not enough notice is given – see our Terms and Conditions.

What should I charge for my Dryveway?

We want all our owners to earn good money from their parking spaces, but you need to be competitive and reasonable. The point is to provide reasonable parking. When you list your space you have the choice of how much to charge per hour.

How much could I earn from my listings?

It really depends. If you are in a high demand area, it could be a lot. If there is seasonal trends, special events, work demand, these could fluctuate amounts. The more important concept is that you’re receiving cash for something you’re not using. True passive income.

Does it cost to list a Dryveway?

No, listing and joining the community is completely free.

How much does Dryvways, the company, charge?

The owner of the Dryveway space doesn’t pay us anything. Whatever you charge for your spot is what you will receive.

Can I temporarily change how much I charge or when my Dryveway is available?

Of course, you have full flexibility in changing prices and availability as you see fit.

Who can list a space?

You must be at least 18 years old and you must have authority to rent the parking to others. Please see our Terms and Conditions.

Do I need to pay tax on my earnings?

Any money earned from is your responsibility to declare. If confused, speak to a tax professional.

How do drivers book my Dryveway?

o A driver searches a location, a date, and a time. A map populates showing available dryveways. They then click the available spot, confirm space, book it and funds transfer. Dryveways sorts out all the communications and you’ll end up with a confirmed, paid-for booking – including all the details you need of who’s coming to park on your space.

Can I contact the dryver?

When a booking is confirmed and paid for, we provide users contact information. This is so you know what vehicle to expect. In theory, the community will take care of itself and there should be no need to contact the driver, the session will look after itself and you shouldn’t need to spend any time liaising with the parker.

How do I get paid for a booking?

We hold on to the parker’s payment for 48 hours after the parking session. Once this period’s done, the funds will be transferred to you.

Do I still get paid if the dryver doesn’t turn up?

If they’ve booked, haven’t cancelled, and ultimately don’t show up, you will receive the full payment for the booked period.

What if I need to cancel a booking at short notice?

If cancelled before the session starts, the driver will receive a full refund. If during a booking then they will get a pro-rated refund.

What if the dryver overstays the booking?

o It doesn’t happen often but life does slow us down sometimes. In these cases we recommend you try to contact the driver using their provided contact information. If this doesn’t resolve things, make note of the abuse and we will sort out extra billing so you get paid for this use.

What if the parker damages my property in any way?

Dryveways of course does not expect this and it is a very rare occurrence. If you feel damage has been done, we will try to facilitate in any way we can. Please contact us with details and photos and we will do what we can to help.

Can I rate the dryver?

Please do. This ensures that great, respectful, drivers are known to Dryveways and homeowners, and oppositely, that those that abuse are eventually kicked out of the community.

How do I find a place to park?

We call these Dryveways. Enter a location, date, and time and a map will populate showing available spots.

Where do you have Dryveways and what if I can’t find one?

As we grow, more spots are available daily. We grow where we find a high demand for parking with limited spots available. Any suggestions are welcome.

Can I park overnight?

Yes, if the spot is available for that period of time, it will populate.

Do I need to create an account to book a dryveway?

Yes. But there is no fee or cost to join.

How do I book a dryveway?

To book a space first click “find a dryveway”. Then enter an address, or city, street, zip code or even the title of a famous landmark. Enter a time and date, and a map will populate with spots available. Click and go through the booking process.

How do I pay?

We currently use PayPal details attached to your account. The funds are held as soon as the booking is made.

How can I cancel a booking?

If you’ve paid for, and therefore confirmed, a booking you can still stop it if you don’t need it anymore. You can do this by logging into your Bookings page and clicking on Cancel. If you cancel 1 hour before it’s due to start, you get a full refund. If the cancellation is less than 1 hour before the booking starts, or during the booking, there’s no refund.

How do I get an invoice or receipt?

The details of all your bookings are always available in your account at Dryveways.

I have a problem with the space I’m parking in – what should I do?

If there is an issue, the quickest resolution is to contact the owner. If this doesn’t resolve things, we will be available to ensure you can get a spot to park and will resolve billing issues.

What if the space owner cancels my booking?

This unfortunately can happen. Any unused time you’ve paid for will be refunded.

My vehicle was damaged while it was parked – what should I do?

Although parking on the street is usually much riskier, things can happen. Insurance is usually the go to, but if you think that the owner was careless and caused the damage, you should contact them to come to a fair resolution. If that doesn’t work then get in touch with us.

How do I leave a review of the dryveway space?

We will ask you to leave a review and a rating for other dryvers to review. This helps in gathering great feedback and information on spaces.

What happens if I overstay my booking?

If you are late you’ll be charged for the extra time, rounded up to the nearest hour (see our terms and conditions). We will also charge a fee for the inconvenience caused. In exceptional circumstances the vehicle may have to be moved. Persistent overstayers will rightly get a bad ratings, leading to eventually being evicted from the community.

Commercial Properties

Can we provide dryveways?

Yes! It doesn’t matter if you’re a company, club, or any other commercial property, if you have a useful parking spot, we want it!
